bad sound when strained RPM

Postby Kjeg » Wed Feb 08, 2012 4:14 pm

When gearing up, I get this annoying sound...after gearing and clutch is released, I can hear it immediatly when giving gas at the low RPM..
its like a metallic rattle-sound, think it comes from the right side under the hood (from inside car). when RPM is around 12-1300 it dissapears, so obviously it appears at certain low vibrate-frequencies..and when thinking about it, when trying to follow the CPU-economic-driving suggestions, it allways forces me quite down there..
hope I managed to make this understandable.

I had it checked at a Mini workshop, and they thought it was weired - but thay said I wasnt supposed to drive at that low RPM so it shouldnt be a problem....then I said, true but If not driving distances down there, Ill still hit this point of RPM often when driving in city-traffic. I shouldnt be there, a brand new car with irritating noise is not good enough for me I said.

new visit at workshop wednesday in a week.

anyone know something about this?
