Freezing cold draft and temperature

Postby minibob » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:10 pm

My Countryman emits a cold draft from behind the steering wheel, steering column and centre console. It is worse when the external temperature is lower, when driving on motorways or taking roundabouts or corners. The heating doesn't combat it and it is at least 15 degress cent. lower in centre of cabin than it states on heater. It makes the drivers legs & waist height freezing & passengers just as cold. It doesn't improve with longer drives. I think it draws cold air in from outside. Be interested to know if anyone else has a similar problem?

Yep - same for me. I read somewhere that it was a deliberate design. Do you find the heating system is poor anyway? I'm not sure if this is common, or just related to the fact that our heating fan has just completely packed in.
